COVID-19

SKJ Facilities Management is aware of the alert in New York for possible spread of the “coronavirus”, now classified as COVID-19. We are following guidelines from New York State and federal agencies, as well as GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council), a division of ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association).

SKJ janitorial staff have been trained in the proper procedures for cleaning and disinfection and have appropriate disinfecting and cleaning agents to use when cleaning. We will continue to focus on high-touch surfaces such as door knobs, push plates, counters, switches, and handles. Should you wish to review the frequency of cleanings in your building, please do not hesitate to contact us.

As conveyed by the Centers for Disease Control and county health departments, we encourage our customers to communicate to your employees the importance of good hygiene habits to prevent the spread of contagious health conditions. One of the best ways to prevent contagious conditions is frequent hand washing. Good practices also include covering coughs with the elbow and minimizing contact with others if one is ill.

If SKJ can provide additional support during this time in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us.
